American Thanksgiving

This past Saturday I organized a belated American Thanksgiving for some of my classmates at UID. Five Americans in the design school joined the celebration, as well as some other wonderful classmates. Though we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving earlier this fall, it loads of fun and very special to have another evening full of friends and food.

I embarrassingly really did think I was supposed to carve through the bone, granted I was told to… first time for everything!

Note: I was able to order the turkey through Coop Konsum MatCity in downtown Umeå. It was remarkably easy and the staff was very helpful. They tried to find me a fresh turkey, but ended up having to order me a frozen, which they dethawed before my pickup date.
